Provide a link back to your website at the end of it so when the bot indexes the pages of these popular sites, it would follow the link to your site. It’s as simple as that. That is one of the sure-fire ways to get your site on the map. Why does Google do it this way? The idea is that if nobody links to your site, chances are the contents are not relevant to other people. When other people notice you, they’d put a link to your site. These referrals are what Google looks at as a gauge for the popularity of your site. If your site is being snubbed by others, expect Google to give the same treatment.

How do you maintain the popularity? The bot ranks sites based on relevance to the search topic so you have to know what keywords would work best for you. There are websites that show you which ones are popular and with the least competition and you can strategically take advantage of these keywords.

The next time you submit website to Google, don’t just wait around. Make sure you’ve also planted links here and there especially in popular sites. You can submit just about any article out there but it sure pays to have a quality one picked up by bloggers and webmasters. They will happily give you free inbound links.
